The Dutch Traffic Safety Association - Veilig Verkeer Nederland (VVN) was established in 1932 by citizens concerned about road safety. Those people were actually the first volunteers devoted to decrease the number of victims in road traffic. Main fields of activities in those days were traffic education and campaigns. Since the 50’s volunteers have been supported by professional staff. Through the years VVN has developed as an advocating association with influence.
